YOU DID IT
Thank you God and thank YOU, the patrons and supporters of the Georgia Mountain Players. YOU saved the theatre and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have always known and told you many, many times that it is you, our loyal friends that enable the GMP to exist. Today, you’ve proven our point. You stepped up, made your wishes known and were heard loud and clear. We would like to thank the Gainesville City Council for listening to all of you and acknowledging what an historic and valuable asset the theatre is to Gainesville and Georgia. We believe that this decision will preserve the future of the performing arts, large and small, for generations to come. Please take another moment to thank each commissioner for this historic decision. Then, take a moment to pat yourself on the back, because we cannot stress enough the impact you have had on this community and it’s future.
